Wado Ichimonji is the white sword Roronoa Zoro never lets go of — a blade carried for a promise as much as for combat — and this Wado Ichimonji katana aims to do that legacy justice with elegance and real edge in equal measure. It is a tribute to samurai tradition that happens to cut.

Forging & Steel

The blade is forged from 1060 carbon steel, balancing flexibility and strength so it holds a sharp edge through repeated use — the kind of reliability that suits practice and demonstration alike. It is hand-polished to bring out the steel, then mounted on a full-tang core that makes the sword one solid, dependable piece.

Mounts & Fittings

A sculpted iron tsuba sets the balance and guards the hand, with carved iron menuki tucked under the synthetic-shagreen wrap for grip. Two bamboo mekugi pin the tang, and the light lacquered wood saya finishes the clean white aesthetic that defines Zoro’s signature blade.

Care & Maintenance

A high-carbon blade like this rewards a little upkeep. Because 1060 steel is reactive, wipe the blade down after every handling session and lay on a thin film of light mineral or camellia oil before it slides back into the saya, which stops surface rust from ever taking hold. Knock out the two bamboo mekugi when you want to strip the sword for a deeper clean, and store it edge-up on a stand so the lacquered scabbard never bears the weight of the blade. Treated this way, it stays keen, bright and display-ready for years.

Is it battle-ready?

Yes — a sharpened, full-tang 1060 blade reliable for practice and demonstration, and striking on a stand. Complete Zoro’s three-sword set with the rest of our anime katana range, including the Ame no Habakiri katana and the Zoro katana.
