Sasuke Uchiha’s chokuto — the straight Sword of Kusanagi — is one of the few non-curved blades in anime that fans instantly recognise, and its clean, severe lines are the whole point. This handmade Sasuke katana reproduces it as a genuine working sword for the most passionate Naruto fans who want a real collector’s item.

Forging & Steel

The 72 cm blade is forged from 1060 carbon steel, a high-carbon alloy that takes and holds a true edge while staying resilient under impact. It is hand-polished to reveal the steel and mounted on a full-tang core, so the whole sword is one solid, dependable piece. At 1.2 kg it is the lightest blade in this range, suiting the chokuto’s fast, linear style.

Mounts & Fittings

A sculpted iron tsuba guards the hand and seats the balance, and a straight wooden tsuka finishes the minimalist Kusanagi profile — true to Sasuke’s design rather than a conventional wrapped handle. The light lacquered wood saya keeps the sword clean on a stand.

Care & Maintenance

A high-carbon blade like this rewards a little upkeep. Because 1060 steel is reactive, wipe the blade down after every handling session and lay on a thin film of light mineral or camellia oil before it slides back into the saya, which stops surface rust from ever taking hold. Keep the edge away from hard contact during practice, and store the sword edge-up on a stand so the lacquered scabbard never bears the weight of the blade. Treated this way, it stays keen, bright and display-ready for years.

Is it battle-ready?

Yes. The sharpened, full-tang 1060 blade handles light tatami practice and looks the part on a stand. Explore more of our anime katana range, including the Ichigo Bankai katana and the Zoro katana.
