Miyamoto carries the name of the most famous swordsman who ever lived — Miyamoto Musashi, undefeated across more than sixty duels. A ninjato so named has a standard to meet, and this one meets it with a high-grade folded Damascus blade and fittings worked to collector standard.

Forging & Steel

The blade is high-quality Damascus steel, folded for the flowing grain that no stamped steel can imitate. The ninjato’s straight profile makes it fast and direct — a blade built for speed and precision rather than the deep curve of a katana — and the Damascus layering gives it both genuine character and a hard, capable edge. The straight geometry favours a quick, linear draw and thrust, the configuration that earned the ninjato its reputation for directness.

Fittings

The furniture is exceptional for the type. The tsuba is high-quality sculpted copper with gilding, the saya is lacquered and painted solid wood set with copper sculptures and gold detail, and the tsuka is wrapped in genuine stingray leather over a copper menuki kit, pinned with two bamboo mekugi. The painted scabbard and gilded metalwork lift the Miyamoto well past a plain working blade into genuine showpiece territory.

Is it battle-ready?

Yes. The high-quality folded Damascus blade is hard, sharp and fully functional, and the straight ninjato profile makes it quick and precise in the hand. The lavish gilded fittings put it firmly in master-grade territory for collectors. Explore the ninjato collection, the Damascus Katana Tonbo, or the Katana Shizen.
